Tandem paragliding is a two-person paragliding flight that allows both participants to enjoy the thrill of this activity! Accompanied by a professional pilot, you can take to the skies for an exhilarating paragliding experience, even if you have no prior experience. Tandem flights can also be used during training to introduce passengers to paragliding.
In this type of flight, the equipment is slightly adapted, with a larger wing to support the weight of two people, a separate harness for the second participant, and spreader bars that keep the pilot and passenger separated during the paragliding flight.
The pilot of a tandem flight does not necessarily have the status of an instructor as presented in "Paragliding Instruction." Indeed, there is a dedicated qualification for tandem paragliding, which can be obtained through the French Free Flight Federation to acquire specific skills without being fully certified. In the context of a paragliding school, tandem pilots are considered "instructors" and have this specific qualification. They have the responsibilities and skills to ensure the safety and success of tandem paragliding flights.
As a passenger, you can enjoy a tandem flight from a young age (around 6 years old) and there is generally no upper age limit. The only limitations for tandem paragliding are weight, which typically cannot exceed 120kg (check with the reservation), and the ability to take a short run during takeoff at low speed (the same applies to landing). Tandem flights are also accessible to individuals with disabilities, provided that the paragliding school has the necessary equipment for specific requests.

Loupiot Flight:
The "Loupiot" flights are designed for children aged 6 to 11 years old, who, due to their light weight, can enjoy paragliding in the late morning. This tandem flight is gentle, thanks to the favorable conditions for calm flights at this time of day. Lasting 10 to 15 minutes, this paragliding experience allows children to discover the first sensations of flight, with a view of the beautiful Lake d'Annecy! Trust the paragliding school instructor; they take care of everything to ensure an unforgettable flight for your child.

Discovery Flight:
The "Discovery" flights are equivalent to the Loupiot flight but are for older participants, starting from 12 years old. The "Discovery" paragliding flight takes place in the morning when the updrafts are not too strong yet. During this tandem flight, you will glide peacefully to the landing area after enjoying the panoramic view of the lake. It's an opportunity to experience the freedom and sensations of paragliding!
Ascent / Sensation Flight:
The "Ascent / Sensation" flights are longer flights, lasting between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the current flight conditions and your experience. During this tandem flight, the instructor will take you to higher altitudes using rising thermal currents. The view of Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains will become even more stunning.
Your instructor will also have the opportunity to introduce you to paragliding controls... Left turn, right turn – you're the pilot! And if you're adventurous and the conditions are right, you might enjoy some acrobatic maneuvers during the descent, for an even more thrilling experience!

Prestige Flight:
The "Prestige" flight is somewhat similar to the Ascent / Sensation flight. However, the flight conditions in the late afternoon often allow for even greater altitude and a more spectacular view of the entire Lake Annecy. This wonderful paragliding flight lasts between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on the current aerological conditions. You'll have plenty of time to let go and fully experience the feelings of tranquility that paragliding brings. The images from this flight, between the lake and the mountains, will remain forever etched in your memory.
