October is the perfect time to explore the Island of Beauty by mountain bike! Florent, your guide, will lead you along the trails of the Ajaccio region and introduce you to the island's rich heritage.
A sporty and eco-friendly trip, combining landscape discovery and thrilling sensations. Get ready to experience the adventure of Corsica!
Non-exhaustive list of things to bring to handle any incidents:
Bike:
A bike in good condition, preferably full suspension or hardtail (cross-country bikes are not recommended). A mountain bike of at least "mid-range" quality, weighing a maximum of 13.5 kg, to ensure reliability.
Important: Make sure to have a full check-up on your bike before departure to avoid any potential breakages!
Cycling Gear:
Helmet, gloves, sunglasses, elbow pads, knee pads, rain jacket, and warm clothing.
Maintenance:
- A "multi-tools" set.
- If using inner tube tires: 2 spare inner tubes + a patch kit + glue for patches.
- If using tubeless tires: puncture sealant, a spare inner tube with a small valve [as a backup].
- If using disc brakes: 2 spare pairs of brake pads.
- 1 rear derailleur cable.
- Chain and derailleur lubricant [bottle/spray]
- 1 pump.
- 1 spare derailleur hanger.
Personal Items:
- Swimsuit, toiletries, extra clothes, small first-aid kit.
Be technically comfortable, with regular practice on rocky singletrack trails.
Be in good physical condition.
All-inclusive trip (including all transfers by minibus and ferry, accommodation, meals starting from the second day, and supervision by a mountain bike instructor).
Minimum 5 people / Maximum 8 people.
Florent will be your instructor during this trip. A Corsican-born mountain bike guide, he will show you the best trails in the region.
The instructor is covered by professional liability insurance, but you must be covered by individual liability insurance. You should check with your insurer if you are covered for repatriation. If so, please provide your insurance policy number on the registration form. If not, we offer our own insurance coverage.

Days 2 to 7:
Discovering the trails around Ajaccio:
Lake Pozzolo: 18 km, 900m elevation gain ***
Mont Salario to the Sanguinaires Islands: 30 km, 1500m elevation gain ****
Vizzavona Forest: (to be defined) ***
Coti Penitentiary: (to be defined) ***
Coscione Plateau: 20 km, 650m elevation gain **
Omigna Loop: 10 km, 300m elevation gain (possibility to extend depending on fitness) 20 km, 600m elevation gain **
Days 8 and 9:
Return journey.
