Rafting Bivouac trip

An original trip in nature to be discovered in May and September ! Come and live to the rhythm of the powerful and beautiful Isère river, at the heart of the Tarentaise valley, and have a memorable, inspiring and friendly time.

We offer you to live a bivouac experience based on rafting

A friendly rafting adventure for two half-days and a night, to connect with the river and its environment. 

With our expert (and super nice) guides, you will go onboard rafts and have great sensations, while enjoying the beauty of the landscapes. Between peaceful passages and rapids, the course is to be memorable!

A suitable-for-all adventure to live with your family, your friends or your partner!


The necessary equipment

Furnished equipment:
- neoprene suit and ankle boots
- neoprene shirt and socks (according to the weather conditions)
- PPE - life jackets and helmets conformed to standards
- Combinaison, veste et bottillons en néoprène
- watertight bags
- common bivouac equipment - raft and paddles
- common tent

Equipment to be brought:
- tent
- sleeping bag (0°C at the minimum)
- camping mattress (insulating if possible)
- headlamp
- dry clothes to wear in the evening: underwear, including warm socks (preferably made of wool), pants, shirt, warm down jacket, a water-repellent jacket (or poncho) in case it is raining, beany, closed shoes (like sneakers)
- toiletries (easily biodegradable, eco-friendly and organic cosmetics)
- thin towel (made of microfibre)
- earplugs (if you are noise sensitive)
- water bottle
- To raft: swimsuits
- lace for your glasses
- snacks and other personal stuffs

Be aware that all of your stuffs have to fit in a furnished waterproof 35-liter bag.

The price includes :

The planned activities, the supervising by professional guides, and the lending of the specific equipment, as well as the required licences and permits, the dinner (starter, main course, and dessert), the complete breakfast*, the common bivouac equipment (toilets, tarp to create a common space protected from rain), the organisation fees, and the transfer from the meeting point towards the activities.

*Food allergies or specific diets have to be told before.

It is a price per person, for a minimum of 8 people - maximum of 16 people.

Our guides are insured for professional civil liability but you must hold individual civil liability. You must ask your insurer if you are covered for repatriation. If this is the case, then specify your insurance policy number in the registration form. If not, we offer you ours.

The process


DAY 1 :

12:45p.m.: Meeting at the rafting base EssaOnia

1:00p.m.: Welcoming with tea and coffee

1:15p.m.: Beginning of the activities: waterproof bags distribution, and explanations
Personal raft equipment distribution, everyone gets changed with it, and puts their dry stuffs in the waterproof bags.

2:00p.m.: Waterproof bags checking

2:15p.m.: Loading of the vehicles with the bags & departure towards the activities place / Arriving at the leisure base in Bourg-Saint-Maurice or Bellentre / Unloading of the whole equipment, then loading of the rafts / Rafting briefing, and equipment checking

Beginning of rafting

5p.m.*: Arriving at the camp base, unloading of the rafts / Clothing change, and camp settling

Free time

7:30p.m.*: Cooking of dinner

8:30-9:30p.m.*: Dinner / End of the day, and sleeping


DAY 2:
Waking up, and free time + personal and camp equipment packing

9:30-10:30a.m.: Breakfast (tents, sleeping bages, mattresses are packed) / Camp tidying - "leave no trace", and raft wearing on

11:15a.m.*: Loading of the rafts with the bags

11:45a.m.*: Beginning of rafting

12:30p.m.*: Arriving at the rafting base EssaOnia / Clothing change / Suits clearing / Personal stuffs packing

1:00p.m*: End of the activity, hot and cold drinks offered
