For a via ferrata outing (reservation required), we meet in the small village of Montmin (at the end of Lake Annecy), in the parking lot by the village church.
Plan to arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled departure to ensure smooth organization. From there, your instructor will equip you and take you (by shuttle or car) to the starting point of the via ferrata (approximately a 5-minute drive). Then, a few minutes of walking to reach the route, and you’re ready to go!
Expect to discover breathtaking landscapes (views of the surrounding mountain ranges and Lake Annecy), enjoy a playful route featuring a zip line and a monkey bridge, and have a great outdoor sporting experience—simply put, a lot of fun in nature!
The length of the route largely depends on the pace of the group; in general, plan for about 2 hours on the via ferrata. Allow approximately 3 hours total to include equipment fitting, briefing, and transfer to the starting point.
