Chien de traineau Annecy aventureSome tips to make your dog sledding experience 100% successful!

First, make sure that the weight on the sled is not too heavy for the dogs: maximum 200 kg. If your group exceeds this, consider taking multiple sleds in a convoy.

Next, equipment. Keep in mind that you’ll be entering a mountainous, snowy environment. If you choose the first-ride option, you’ll stay seated and mostly still; if you choose sled driving, there’s a risk of falling into the snow. Dress accordingly: warm, waterproof clothing (ski wear is ideal), snow-appropriate footwear, gloves, a hat, and sunglasses. Don’t forget your camera!

Since there will be snow, equip your vehicle with snow tires, chains, or socks and allow extra time to reach the activity safely.

Plan your arrival so that you’re not stressed—arrive 15 minutes early to avoid any worries about getting there on time.

Tip: If you booked the first slot of the half-day, arrive a bit earlier to watch or even participate in the dog harnessing process.

Recommendations: Despite the low risk involved in this activity, pregnant women are not advised to participate, nor are children under 2 years old.
