Looking for spectacular canyons and dream landscapes? Some of the most famous canyons in the world can be found in the Prealps, in the heart of Zion National Park (Utah, USA), on Réunion Island, and in the Sierra de Guara in Spain.

Focusing on Europe, some notable locations include:

  • Spain: The famous Sierra de Guara is home to the Rio Vero, offering several kilometers of crystal-clear water, as well as more than 60 canyons in Aragon, making it a legendary destination. Prehistoric caves and the Gorges des Oscuros are must-sees. The Barranco del Mascun is an easy 200m aquatic route. In Majorca, the Gorg Blau y Sa Fosca is a very technical canyon with dark sections due to high walls and narrow passages.

  • Italy: Notable sites include Palvico, a dimly lit canyon, Rio Nero with crystal-clear waters, and Tignale, featuring a 60m rappel near Lake Garda. The Torrente Chalamy in the Aosta Valley is another remarkable spot.

  • Switzerland: Around Interlaken, the Chlu Schliere offers a technical aquatic route, Grimsel includes a 50m rappel, slides, and ziplines, while Saxeten is suitable for beginners.

  • Other European countries: Germany has the Starzlachklamm and Almbachklamm, Austria offers Tyrol canyons for all levels, Cetina in Croatia, Triglav National Park in Slovenia, and the Ha Canyon in Crete, which is very vertical and technical.
